How It Works
slide a 4x4 board of doubling tiles and chase the legendary 2048.
Objective
Slide every tile in one direction. When two tiles of the same value collide they merge into one tile of double the value. Keep merging until you create a 2048 tile — then keep going for a higher score.

Game ends when the board is full and no adjacent tiles match.

2048 is a merging puzzle. Every merge pays out the value of the new tile — bigger merges late in the run dominate your score.
How the score is calculated
Whenever two equal tiles slide together they merge, and the value of the merged tile is added to your score. Tiles you never merge are worth nothing.
Worked example
Building a single 2048 tile takes a chain of merges (2+2, 4+4, 8+8, … 1024+1024). The merges together add up to roughly 20,000 points. Building it twice and merging into a 4096 is worth around 44,000 points. Building all the way to an 8192 hits the server cap.
What ends the run
The round ends when no slide produces any move — the board is full and no two adjacent tiles match. Reaching the 2048 tile shows a celebratory modal but doesn’t force the round to end; you can keep stacking for a bigger score.
